I know, I always seem to get a Throwback picture out but not a real blog…Bob continues to remind me that every day I don’t write is another lost reader…
Tomorrow will be an exciting post on Christmas happenings and New Year’s resolutions…I know you can hardly wait.
The picture for today is of Matt and me at his prom…this was about ten years ago. I am pretty sure Matt has not been in a tux since! But it sure does a boy good. A man puts on a tux and his good-looking factor immediately rises. He was 18 here and in one month exactly he will be 29! Sheesh! The same age as his mother…very strange for me indeed.
I chose this picture today for two reasons. One is I was checking out what my hairs looked like long. I am in the process of growing mine out and it is at the point in the growing out process that I rarely make it through…the bangs aren’t quite long enough to stay out of my face and it is driving me crazy. At the end of the day I am about ready to chop it myself.
To make matters worse, it has been so dry here that the static tends to make my hair cling to my skull and apparently the more I swipe at the bangs to keep them out of my eyes the more static I make which makes them fall in my face which in turn makes me swipe some more. Swipe, fall, static, swipe, fall, static. I would say that I can see what I am saying but I really can’t.
I thought perhaps I could wear a hat and get away with it, it is winter, but Ellen promptly nixed that idea. Something to the effect of, “If you wear that today I will just stay home.” Bobby pinning the bangs to the side was a definite no also.
Ellen and I are spending the morning shopping, braving the ten inches of snow out there. It continues to snow and despite my dislike for the horrid cold stuff this white blanket does make the world look so clean and bright. As a safety precaution I will be sure to purchase many packages to weight down my back tires.
Here’s the photo…
Enjoy your day all!
