Paint Samples Aren’t Just for Painters

I spend a wee bit of time on the internet. Some might say wee is an under statement. But I am there for good reason!

I am either looking for recipes or a craft or a stamping project.  One time in my online adventures I found some paint sample crafts. I mentioned to Bob that I would like to try and make something from paint samples. I asked if he would pick a couple up for me the next time he was saving big money at Menard’s. Not long after that (like the next day) he brought home a stack of paint samples. A stack that was about two inches thick. Because in Bob’s world if a little is good, more is better and more than that might just be enough.

I tried a couple of different things and ended up liking some 4×4 cards best and these were the ones I showed to other people.

My mother in-law really liked them and asked if I would make a batch for her.  I think she was going to auction them off in a fundraiser. I made them all this morning. I was kind of sad to send them off. I am very happy with the way they came out. I used a pre-printed thank you card with matching envelopes and matched my paint strip colors to the colors of the cards.

Twelve cardsThe were sent off today. They worked up pretty quickly.  I think I will see if I can find the cards again and make more for gifts.

Tell me about your current craft project. Anyone making home made things for Christmas?
